After a period of time working as an educator, I discovered that the love I felt for my career came from the stories my students shared with me, along with the assistance I was able to give them with the struggles they were facing each day.
I believe that words matter, and I will help you to find the words to not only tell the story of your past, but also to create the story you envision for yourself.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as an educator in a large, urban school district.  I received my BA in teaching and English Literature, and have published works of creative nonfiction.  I then went on to obtain a dual masters degree (MAMS) in Student Affairs and Mental Health Counseling.
I believe that we are more than a diagnosis.  I want to work with you to achieve your goals and work through the things that have been holding you back. My approach to therapy is conversational, non-judgmental, feminist, sex and kink positive, and body neutral. I want to make you feel comfortable in the therapy space, so that you feel empowered to make changes to improve your situations.
I am currently working as a pre-licensed counselor under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Counselor.
